Nicholas Bredimus’ Noteworthy History
Ever taken note of how utterly computerization has heavily changed the face of hospitality and air travel ? Most responsible is Nicholas Bredimus. He has worked on initiatives varying from the creation of time-saving software programs to enhancing airplane safety and even designs for luxury homes. Examining Mr Nicholas Bredimus’ pedigree you can easily see he was bound to rise to the top. Its lines can be followed back to the glory days of Rome, Nicholas’ ancestry connects to a great many nations in Europe. On his mother’s branch he hails from Scottish and German stock. A similarly wide blend stands out in his father’s branch; previous to their emigration in the 1800s, Bredimus’ forebears made their homes in England and Luxembourg. Once in America, the family still strove to climb in the world. Nicholas, who would grow up with his two brothers and four sisters, was a child of a father employed as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a nurse. He would live for many years in towns across a number of states. So what did Bredimus do to capitalize on his pedigree and studies? A number of respected roles were soon his, all working with huge airlines. Nicholas became a Vice President with firms like Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, and Hughes Airwest respectively. An inventive software designer, his creative approach to airline computer programs is arguably his most epoch-making gift to the industry.
His outstanding work on aircraft maintenance software, now employed in the entire airline sector though initially produced for US Airways, resulted in what is surely his most famous program. He would go on to examine taking and recording bookings. For both room and flight reservations he produced programs to offload much of the work required before automation. Still innovating, he designed a networked system to automate ticket sales – another first.
Albeit this was definitely his specialty, Mr Nicholas Bredimus also frequently worked on non-software areas. With his own firm – Bredimus Systems – as a divisional manager with American Express, and as the founding president of AMR Travel Services his career speaks for itself. Though he has stepped back from the posts in which he first experienced fortune, his skills are, nevertheless, still very much in use. His interest now is with the architectural concerns bound up in the design of environmentally neutral, hitech luxury class homes.
