Holiday Tablecloths – Use them at a Celebration

August 3rd, 2009

Every year people world-wide celebrate an assortment of holidays. A set of decorations will be used for each holiday season. Many homes also have different sets of table linens comprised of holiday tablecloths, table napkins, placemats, table skirting and chair coverings. The linens are brought out once a year for that holiday.

Thanksgiving is a perfect example of a holiday season. Everyone focuses on the third Thursday of November and that big traditional meal of turkey, stuffing, vegetables, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls and pumpkin pie. Being as it is November, Thanksgiving tablecloths are usually fashioned after the fall season. Autumn Leaves, Falling Leaves and Fall Festival are all popular print options for Thanksgiving tablecloths. Solid colored linen table napkins and placemats that complement the pattern on the holiday tablecloths can be used to complete the look. The solid colors chosen for the table linens are probably going to be yellow, orange or brown.

Christmas is the #1 holiday that people decorate their home for. In most cases, decorations are proudly displayed on the interior and exterior of the house. Many people use traditional Christmas tablecloths in either solid red or green while others may choose holiday tablecloths that have been imprinted with a Christmas theme. If you use whimsical holiday tablecloths with prints like Santa, Christmas Music and Christmas Ornaments, you will surely spark childhood memories of Christmas gone by. If you’re planning to celebrate in a more formal fashion then think about holiday tablecloths with a print like Seasons Greetings. The tablecloth is made from a damask cloth with a woven design of holly with berries, Christmas bells and poinsettias. Be sure to step things up a notch and use linen chair coverings, napkins and table skirts.

During summertime in the United States we observe our independence as a nation with the Fourth of July. Across the county, people celebrate with barbecues and fireworks. This is one holiday where most people will be dining outdoors. For this venue medium weight vinyl tablecloths are a perfect option. The vinyl is laminated to a heavy-duty polyester backing making it the best option for protecting outside furniture. Maybe just as importantly, a sloppy barbecue spill can be easy to wipe clean off of a vinyl tablecloth. Select vinyl tablecloths in navy blue, red or white and decorate the table tops with a festive centerpiece that marks the occasion.

You’ll want to be sure to pick holiday tablecloths that accentuate your home’s interior because you will probably be using them for years to come. Take time. Shop around. If you can’t find what you are looking for from a local shop then buy your holiday tablecloths via the internet. Linen tablecloths, whether they be solid colored or theme printed, are certain to make your holiday decorations stand out.
