Why Yusuf from Germany Takes His Annual Leave in Chamonix Village
Chamonix ski resort is a stunning French town with the legendary Mont Blanc and majestic glaciers. The group like to go telemarking or even wandering around. I sometimes get a flight from Rochester and stay at a Chamonix self catered chalet during my vacation.
My family and I previously went to Holiday Inn South Burlington unfortunately it sometimes didn’t live up to its its advert: The Holiday Inn Burlington, in Vermont’s scenic Champlain Valley, is a centrally-located, full service hotel. Only minutes from Lake Champlain or the Green Mountains, we are located off exit 14E on Interstate 89 at the junction with U.S. Route 2. We maintain a direct dial phone in the Burlington International Airport terminal which is a short one mile ride in our courtesy shuttle. Just three blocks from our front door, is Vermont’s largest shopping mall, the University Mall. The award-winning, historic, open-air pedestrian mall the Church Street Marketplace is a five minute drive from the hotel. The University of Vermont, Saint Michael’s and Champlain Colleges are all less than 10 minutes from the hotel. If you are travelling on business, or exploring Vermont any time of year make the Holiday Inn Burlington your home away from home.
However in Chamonix Haute Savoie the luxury chalet is always exceptional. As well eating out in my families’ preferred French restaurant, Fish & More Restaurant, munching cookies ‘n’ cream yogurt pops is a treat. Chamonix Mont Blanc is a big enough village to insure that there is lots for the snowboarder to do. With a casino and a range of terraced caf©s, Chamonix provides a choice of climbing, French charm and sightseeing which not many ski resorts can match.
